About The Hood Enchantress

Hi, I’m Jordan Ali, the creator behind The Hood Enchantress.

I didn’t come into this work from theory or trends. I come from a line of people who lived close to the land and even closer to necessity. Farmers who read the weather by instinct. Midwives who understood the body without needing language for it. Rootworkers who worked with what was available, using herbs, roots, poultices and tinctures for healing. Gamblers and hustlers who knew timing, risk, and intuition weren’t separate from survival, they were survival. I grew up watching that kind of knowing move quietly through my everyday life. This is an innate understanding.

The Hood Enchantress is what that understanding turned into.

Everything here is handmade in small batches and created with intention, not volume. Oils, baths, candles, bracelets, ritual work, each one is built as a tool. The staple products I introduce are things I've seen elders use around me. All things you can actually work with. Our items meet you where you are, whether you are clearing your space, strengthening your boundaries, calling in change, or trying to get back to yourself after feeling scattered or disconnected.

very item is prepared with focus and care so it can hold its purpose when it leaves my hands. People can feel that difference, even if they don’t always quite know what it is. They just notice that things start shifting for the better.

People talk about feeling more grounded after using something. More clear. More protected. More like themselves again. Some notice changes in how they move through their relationships or decisions. Some feel like doors start opening, resources start aligning, and things start manifesting on a large scale. I hold all of that as part of the work, not separate from it.

This is for people in real life transitions. People rebuilding, protecting their energy, learning boundaries, trying to break patterns, or calling in something better but more aligned. People who are done ignoring their intuition and ready to actually work with it.

Beyond the products, this is also a teaching space. Through my Substack, Around The Way Girl, I share rituals, recipes, folklore, and practices that help people build a relationship with their own intuition and environment without overcomplicating it. It’s about returning to what you already know but may have stopped trusting.

The Hood Enchantress is not just a shop. It’s a practice. It’s a way of paying attention again. It’s a return to what’s already been there, beneath all of the noise. Remember.

Welcome to The Hood Enchantress.
